All fancy carved birds are handmade from basswood, every feather individually wood-burned, and every detail lovingly included. Acrylics are applied for authentic coloring, and each piece is unique and extremely lifelike. They have bronze feet and glass eyes.

Chris Linn-Hatcher hand-carves each Little Fat Bird individually from sugar pine, and uses transparent oils and stains to enhance the grain and beauty of the wood. All are approximately 4" x 6.5" long, and have glass eyes. Each bird is labeled with its species and is signed by Chris.
